“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” -Dr. Seuss
This quote was in their vows. This simple, cute quote summed up the relationship that Hannah and Andras have now. It sums up the marriage they’ll have forever.
Hannah and Andras were set to get married here in Tulsa, America but decided to get hitched in Hudson, New York instead. When Hannah’s mother told me of their plans, I thought,”…I could shoot their wedding there too!”
Their wedding was one of love and fun. During the ceremony, when Hannah slipped on Andras’ ring he said, “LLLLike a glove!” (think Ace Ventura) I DIED! I don’t know how many people heard it, but it made my night! They’re both amazing and hilarious.
This is where I am inappropriate…. Again.
Also, a big highlight of the Father of the Bride’s night: I have a gold bar necklace. You know, the ones that people put coordinates on or their children’s initial. Mine says a four letter word. Three times. Paul, Hannah’s father saw this and proceeded to show as many people as he could. I feel like I may be their long lost Mexican daughter. I wouldn’t be mad about it!
They also allowed me to see the beauty of New York City. I understand why people who sell their cars and live life in tiny studio apartments with rent that equates to a beautiful two story house in the ‘burbs of OK. The sounds (horns), the conversation (so many curse words), the food (so authentic and amazing). I would gladly take up public transportation and eating from a food cart every day to feel that feeling! So jelly of you, Hannah and Andras!
Before I leave, I have to address the couple again. Hannah is the cutest, most gorgeous, fun lady ever and now her last name is Casanova!! How is that fair? Andras is extremely good looking and dresses like… someone from new york. He had tassels on shoes. Come on. He is the real deal. Then there is @abeaglenamedchuck, who wore a “Chuckxedo”? I dont know how one spells that.
I loved every single tiny detail of this marriage celebration. Can we just do it again? Vow renewal every year? Yeah? Sweet.
