As we all know, 2020 was a horrible year for so many people. This year, I lost a lot of weddings and broke my shoulder during my busiest season. I couldn’t wait for this year to be over and I am so so glad it ended with the wedding of Wendi and Ashley.
They truly reignited the fire in me.
Their wedding was classic and meaningful. It was beautiful and inspiring. Little details that were being held as a “maybe” came through as an “absolutely”. The weather was perfect and the leaves were falling just right over the ground at Willow Creek Mansion. Every detail was so personal and memorable for them as a couple.
I met Wendi when she DJ’d an event for Preslar Music, where my son was taking singing lesson. I loved her instantly. She was so enthusiastic and motivating to these kids and they had such a great time. Her personality came through again for their first look.
OMG I LOVED THEIR FIRST LOOK. They’re obsessed with each other. The combination of Wendi being a crazy person and Ashley being a bit more reserves made for the most magical first look. Wendi couldn’t stop telling Ashley how beautiful she looked (while using much different words hahaha) and Ashley returning the love with gentle affection. Y’all. I can’t put this moment into words. It was beautiful.
Of course the portraits were amazing, the ceremony was incredible and the reception was a blast. But the meaningful shit in-between had me trying to constantly in tears. They’re meant to be together forever and I am so happy that they are.
WENDI AND ASHLEY I LOVE YOU AND I CANT BELIEVE I WAS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER OMG NO TIME FOR PUNCTUATION AHLFKJHSGIWEHG
